Art Explorers: Craft and Create at TMORA

9 AM to noon at the TMORA Education Center
Recommended for ages 7-11
Let your creativity flow at this TMORA Summer Youth Session! Participants will explore different art forms– from painting and drawing to printmaking and mixed media projects– while learning about artists and artworks from TMORA’s one-of-a-kind collection. To cap off the week, participants will co-curate an exhibition of their artwork at the TMORA Education Center. Families are welcome to join us at 11:30 on the final day of class for an exhibition viewing to celebrate the artists. Led by TMORA’s Director of Education, Kelly McKay.
Participants can expect to:
- Have fun
- Experiment with different media
- Build new skills
- Draw inspiration from Russian art
- Increase confidence through self-expression
- Improve visual literacy
- Collaborate with others
- Curate an exhibition
Summer session cost (includes materials fee): $185 members; $210 non-members.
Space is limited; please register early to secure your spot.
Participants should come prepared with a snack, a water bottle, and clothing appropriate for messy art activities. TMORA welcomes learners of all abilities.
