The Seagull by Anton Chekhov

Monday, June 27, 2016 from 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

The Museum of Russian Art presents

The Seagull by Anton Chekhov

The first of Anton Chekhov’s masterpieces, The Seagull tells a story of people longing for love and yearning for happiness that feels as alive, hilarious, and true today as ever.

The first production of the play in 1896 was a spectacular failure and was panned by the critics.  It was revived two years later by Konstantin Stanislavskyfor the Moscow Art Theater and hailed as a masterpiece that ushered in a bold new era for Russia as a leader in the world of theater.

Join us for a very special reading by prominent Twin Cities actors in the intimate setting of the main gallery.  This is truly an exciting opportunity.  We look forward to seeing you.
