Fairy Tales & Folktales: A TMORA Theatre Adventure 
July 7 – 11, 2025 
9 AM to noon at the TMORA Education Center 
Recommended for ages 7-11

Let your imagination run wild at this TMORA Summer Youth Session! Participants will explore the strange and magical world of Russian folktales and fairy tales, then collaborate to devise an original theatrical production inspired by their favorite tales. On our final day of class, families are welcome to join us at 11:30 to watch the final performance. Led by TMORA’s Director of Education, Kelly McKay, who holds a PhD in Theatre and has been joyfully teaching young people for 15 years. 

Participants can expect to: 

  • Have fun
  • Learn about Russian folklore 
  • Build confidence and self-esteem
  • Practice presentation skills
  • Think creatively
  • Move, wiggle, and play
  • Collaborate with others
  • Make something new

Summer session cost: $175 members; $200 non-members.  
Space is limited; please register early to secure your spot. 
Participants should come prepared with a snack, a water bottle, and comfortable clothing for moving around. TMORA welcomes learners of all abilities.

Art Explorers: Craft and Create at TMORA
July 28 – August 1, 2025 
9 AM to noon at the TMORA Education Center 
Recommended for ages 7-11

Let your creativity flow at this TMORA Summer Youth Session! Participants will explore different art forms– from painting and drawing to printmaking and mixed media projects– while learning about artists and artworks from TMORA’s one-of-a-kind collection. To cap off the week, participants will co-curate an exhibition of their artwork at the TMORA Education Center. Families are welcome to join us at 11:30 on the final day of class, August 1, for an exhibition viewing with the artists. Led by TMORA’s Director of Education, Kelly McKay. 

Participants can expect to: 

  • Have fun
  • Experiment with different media 
  • Build new skills
  • Draw inspiration from Russian art
  • Increase confidence through self-expression 
  • Improve visual literacy 
  • Collaborate with others 
  • Curate an exhibition 

Summer session cost (includes materials fee): $180 members; $210 non-members.
