Volunteering is a great way to experience all that the Museum of Russian Art has to offer, while supporting us in our mission to engage, enlighten and educate through the art of Russia.
There are a range of opportunities available to you to suit your interests, and our volunteers receive a host of great benefits. Once you see something that interests you, please fill out our volunteer application.
In exchange for a donation of expertise and time, TMORA volunteers receive museum benefits. These benefits are given after four volunteer shifts at the desk or store, or upon giving your first tour. Benefits include but are not limited to:

Provide first level phone coverage for in-bound calls. Greet visitors and collect admission fees as appropriate. Offer general information, membership information, and exhibition brochures. Provide general directions throughout the Museum. Field questions regarding the art, building, etc.
Museum Gift Store
Assist in creating a positive experience at TMORA by enticing our customers with beautiful products from Russia. Help develop a smooth flowing operation by assisting customers, ringing in sales, as well as merchandising the Store with an elegant, fresh and professional look.
Serve as knowledgeable host to scheduled groups of museum visitors. Share your knowledge of Russian art, history culture as reflected in specific exhibitions on display. Currently, TMORA is only seeking prospective docents who are able to give tours to children and/or tours in Russian.
Provide help to museum staff to implement various mailings, exhibition packets, fund raising invitations and related marketing programs. Provide in-museum help to conduct seminar events, assist tour guides with large group events, help execute special invitational events and staff various guest services (museum store, parking directions, coat room, refreshment/lounge) as required by specific events.
