Fields no longer rhyme 

Grandmother has never seen me 

I long to be with her

Now just as then

I have a need to connect to my ancestry 

I was born in Austria, my parents having fled ukraine after the 2nd world war

So i was raised speaking both ukrainian and english 

Which is often the immigrant way
