As a special addition to the evening, the TMORA-affiliated women’s folk performance group Nitka will perform several folk songs that have survived the ravages of time and patriarchal oppression. These centuries-old songs and movements were practiced by peasant women in the intimacy of family and communal work in pre-Soviet Russia.

Nitka will perform from 7:00 – 7:20 in the Main Gallery.
