Film + Online Discussion: Dmitry Krymov’s Everyone is Here
Thursday, May 1 from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FREE
Presented by East-West Connections, with promotional support from The Museum of Russian Art (TMORA):
Everyone is Here was inspired by Dmitry Krymov’s exposure to a 1975 American touring production of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town. The structure of the play gives rise to an interweaving of events, memories, fantasties, associations, and dreams – carefully planned although seemingly random, which in the finale leads the viewer to a keen awareness of his/her own life.
Nominated for five 2022 Golden Mask Awards (including Best Play and Best Director), Everyone is Here features memorable turns by actors Alexander Feklistov and Maria Smolnikova.
Everyone is Here is presented in Russian with English subtitles. Captured on film before a live audience from the Moscow Theatre School of Modern Plays, Russia and made available to us by Stage Russia HD for Art Seen Films.
