Please join us for the first celebration of “Days of RussianCulture” at The Museum of Russian Art.
Commemorating the greatest Russian poet, A.S. Pushkin, we will commemorate the 220th anniversary of his birth and 180 years since his tragic death. Aleksandr Sergeevich Pushkin was born on June 6, a day that was widely used in the Russian diaspora to celebrate Days of RussianCulture. Today, this date also marks the “Day of Russian language” in Russia.
The celebrations at TMORA will include an inaugural toast in memory of Pushkin on his birthday, the screening of the award winning documentary “Pushkin is our Everything,” directed by Michael Beckelheimer, an introduction to Russian banya culture, the opening of a very special exhibition “Gifts and Prayers: The Romanovs and Their Subjects,” and finally, a classical music concert on Sunday, June 11, in commemoration of “RussiaDay.”
