Welcoming Rochelle Hoffman to Board of Trustees

The Museum of Russian Art is pleased to welcome Rochelle Hoffman to the Board of Trustees.

Born and raised in the Twin Cities.  Rochelle graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BA in English and a minor in Art History.  She currently resides in the Lowry Hill neighborhood of Minneapolis.

Because of their interest in contemporary design, Rochelle and her husband opened up a small retail operation that specialized in home furnishings and accessories that reflected this interest, which they ran successfully for 10 years.  Afterwards, the Hoffman’s took over a family business, specializing in infants and children (furniture, car seats, strollers, high chairs) which they operated for over 25 years until their retirement in 2005.

Rochelle has been on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Opera Company and the NINFRA (National Independent Nursery Furniture Association) the latter a buying organization for independent retailers who specialized in children’s goods.

Since her retirement, has made the TMORA a priority becoming a docent in 2010 and has delivered hundreds of tours at the Museum.  She is also a volunteer at PANCAN (the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation) where she works on their hotline, helping support and comfort families whose lives have been impacted by this disease.
