The lecture will focus on Eva Levina-Rozengolts’ life of exile in Siberia during the era of Stalinist repression, based on her correspondence with family and friends.

Joan Afferica is L. Clark Seelye Professor of History Emeritus at Smith College, Northampton, MA., and frequently visited the Soviet Union and Russia for her historical research.
