Book Launch – Baba Yaga: The Wild Witch of the East in Russian Fairy Tales

The Museum of Russian Art & MartinRoss Design invite you to attend a book Launch for a Famous Russian Folk-Figure. Saturday, October 12 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.. An engaging opportunity to meet and speak with scholar and translator, Professor Sibelan Forrester, the major contributor and translator for the newly released book: Baba Yaga, The Wild Witch of the East in Russian Fairy Tales.

Following a brief introduction at 5:30, Sibelan will be available to greet visitors and sign the book. Two other contributors to the book, Professor Helena Goscilo and Martin Skoro, will also be available for questions.

Two remarkable exhibitions will be open for viewing: Women in Soviet Art and Jewish Life in the Russian Empire. The Museum of Russian Art Curator, Dr. Maria Zavialova, will be present to talk with guests about the exhibitions and the Baba Yaga fairy tale.
